Boston Trust Corp. collects nonpublic information about you only in connection with providing you with the closing and related services to provide you with the loan you have requested from the Boston Trust Companies. The types of nonpublic personal information that we collect may vary depending on the nature of the transaction contemplated and may include:

Information about your relationship and transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as payment history and loan balances;

Information that we receive, with your authorization, from third parties such as current lender(s), attorney(s), real estate broker(s), accountant(s), financial advisor(s), insurance agent(s), banking institution(s) and others; and

Information from public record and/or databases, including, but not limited to, the Registry of Deeds, the Secretary of State/Corporations Division, municipal tax collectors and assessors, U.S. Treasury Department (including the Office of Foreign Assets Control), the IRS and DHS.

INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE

We will disclose personal information in your loan file if your loan is assigned to another creditor or serviced by another institution.
We may disclose certain of your personal information with any co-borrower or co-sponsor, or guarantor on your account, in order to process your application, service your account, and provide the products and services you have requested from us. We may disclose your personal information with third parties who assist us in the administration, processing, and servicing of your application and loan, as well as the research, analysis, and reports regarding the use of our websites and services. These third parties may include brokers, title companies, appraisers, insurance companies, underwriting services, processing services, printing companies, software providers, marketing services, and purchasers of loans, among others.
We may also disclose information about you when we believe it is necessary or, appropriate: to: (i) comply with applicable legal requirements, (e.g. regulatory, court, and law enforcement demands); (ii) respond to an emergency or otherwise protect the rights and property of Boston Trust and our employees, customers, or others, including to enforce any contract between you and us; (iii) address fraud, security, or technical issues; and (iv) in connection with, or during negotiation of, any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business or assets.
Boston Trust Corp. does not disclose any of your public or nonpublic personal information to anyone outside the companies except as is necessary to consummate the requested loan transactions. This would include disclosure to our attorneys, accountants, correspondent lenders and anyone else providing services related to your transaction.
We do not sell client information to any third party or disclose client/borrower information to marketing companies of any type. Please note that one of the integral parts of the loan transaction is the recording or providing certain documents at/to Registries of Deeds, the Secretary of State/Corporations Division and UCC Division, and City and Town Halls and, as such, such documents may contain certain personal information.

We will retain your information for the period of time necessary to satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.

COMMUNICATIONS

We may use your personal information to communicate with you. We also may provide notifications to you that are required by law. You may not opt out of such services-related and legally required communications. Subject to applicable law, we may provide such notifications to you via email, text message, hard copy, or through conspicuous posting on our website. We may also send you marketing emails, including promotions and new product offerings. You can stop receiving marketing email communications from us by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of the communications. We make reasonable efforts to promptly process all unsubscribe requests. Furthermore, we may send marketing text messages to your mobile phone if you opt in. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Boston Trust Corp. may communicate with you via SMS text messaging in relation to any loan processing and loan servicing if you opt-in. This includes but is not limited to requesting information related to your loan in process and assisting with loan servicing needs. You will have the option to opt-out at any time by notifying us in writing that you wish to opt-out.

CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY

Our websites are intended for use by ages 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from minors and minors should not use our websites or our services at any time.
